Chesterfield, MO - May 1, 2010 - AVMATS Spirit, based at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, has delivered its first Cessna Conquest I after successfully completing the aircraft’s initial Supplemental Inspection Documents (SIDs). This is the first Cessna Conquest delivered since AVMATS acquired the assets of Thunder Aviation, a noted Cessna 425 SID service provider, in mid-2009. Per the owner’s choice, AVMATS Spirit developed modifications to the aircraft’s structure and utilized the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) to facilitate less invasive and less costly inspections in the future. Even with a typical set of discrepancies, the entire project completed ahead of the planned forty nine (49) working day downtime.
AVMATS specializes in light and heavy repair and maintenance of Falcon, Hawker, Sabreliner, Beechjet and now Cessna Conquest aircraft. The St. Louis-based company also provides extensive sheet metal and structural services, airframe services, parts support, instruments, interiors and components for all of the aircraft mentioned above. Additionally, AVMATS is a Honeywell Line Service Center for the TFE731 and CFE738 engines. AVMATS maintains a registered ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System and is an FAA Certified Repair Station with EASA approval.
