Wings of Hope Cardboard Boat Race

St. Louis, MO - July 30, 2011 - Our team put forth a great effort in the Wings of Hope 2nd Annual Hope Floats Cardboard Boat Race at Grand Basin in Forest Park. Proceeds of this event benefit the Wings of Hope St. Louis-based Medical Relief and Air Transport (MAT) Program for children. At least 90% of funds raised will help to deliver life-saving health care to kids with complex birth defects and adults with rare illnesses.

Falcon 2000 C-Check Delivery

Chesterfield, MO - July 17, 2011 - AVMATS Spirit, based at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, has delivered its first Cessna Conquest I after successfully completing the aircraft's initial Supplemental Inspection Documents (SIDs). This is the first Cessna Conquest delivered since AVMATS acquired the assets of Thunder Aviation, a noted Cessna 425 SID service provider, in mid 2009. At the request of the owner, AVMATS Spirit developed modifications to the aircraft's structure and utilized the Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) to facilitate less invasive and less costly inspections in the future. Even with a typical set of discrepancies, the entire project completed ahead of the planned forty-nine (49) working day downtime.
